‘Samurai Jack’ Video Game To Release On August 21

In February, Adult Swim and Soleil Games announced a video game based on Samurai Jack Cartoon series, Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time. Following the announcement, fans went crazy learning that they’ll finally get to play the legendary character, Jack. Now, we finally have an official release date for the game.

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time will be released on August 21 for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and the PC version of the game on Steam and Epic Games Store.

Adult Swim released another trailer to announce the release date while also flaunting the game’s environment. The trailer showcases the unique combat style, weapons, and legendary characters from the Samurai Jack series.

If you’re wondering about the story of the game, then you’re in for a surprise. By playing the game, you’ll experience the story of the Samurai Jack cartoon series in all its originality. In short, evil shape-shifter Aku throws Jack into the future, and you’ll (Jack) have to defeat all the familiar characters from the show to get back to the past and defeat Aku. And yes, Jack will meet Ashi like in the final season of the show.

What’s truly amazing is that the show’s creator Genndy Tartakovsky and Series Head Writer Darrick Bachman are part of the team that created the Samurai Jack video game.

You can own Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time by paying $40 starting August 21. However, further details on the game will be revealed at Adult Swim Con, which will be hosted live from July 23-25.
