Asus has finally unveiled the latest edition of its Android gaming smartphone in the form of ROG Phone 3. The feature-loaded smartphone succeeds the much-lauded Asus ROG Phone 2 that became a sensation amongst mobile gamers. Following the legacy, Asus ROG Phone 3 comes with a 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. Users have the option to switch to lower refresh rates, including 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz.
Asus has claimed that the gaming smartphone will offer the response time of 1ms and 270Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 865 Plus, up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage up to 512GB. As for the OS, Asus ROG Phone 3 runs on Android 10-based ZenUI. Users can also choose the gaming-centric ROG UI for aesthetics.
In the camera department, Asus ROG Phone 3 carries a triple camera setup on the rear with 64MP primary sensor, 13MP ultra-wide, and 5MP macro sensor. On the front, it has a 24MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. With a massive 6,000mAh battery, Asus ROG Phone 3 supports 30W ROG HyperCharge fast charging tech.
As for gaming features, Asus ROG Phone 3 has a vapor chamber, a large heat sink, and vents on the back for thermal cooling. The smartphone has side buttons with ultrasonic sensors to perform different actions while playing games in the landscape mode. Asus ROG Phone 3 also has two USB-C ports specially designed by keeping gamers in mind.
Asus has launched ROG Phone 3 at Rs 49,999 for 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 57,999 for 12GB+256GB variant. The 512GB variant of the smartphone is not available for India.
