Counter-Strike: Global Offensive & Valorant Will Soon Have An Opponent

When it comes to tactical first-person shooter games, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was considered as the king. However, recently, Riot Games’ Valorant came into the picture to compete with CS:GO. And now, it looks like both CS:GO, and Valorant has another competitor to worry about, which is Rogue Company.

Rogue Company is an upcoming free-to-play multiplayer third-person shooter game for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. It is developed by First Watch Games and published by Hi-Rez Studios, the same studio working on another battle royale title ‘Realm Royale.’

‘Rogue Company’ Is Available To Play In Closed Beta

Hi-Rez Studios announced Rogue Company back in 2019 during a Nintendo Direct. The video game was in Closed Alpha for a while; however, recently, it has been moved to Closed Beta.

In Rogue Company, two teams of four players go against each other to hold an objective and be the winner. Both teams will get 12 tickets in every round. These tickets can be used by players to get respawned back in the match. If a team uses all 12 respawn tickets, they’ll lose the round, and the first team to win five rounds will be the winner.

Like Valorant, Rogue Company also introduces several different mercenaries with a distinct set of skills. Also, there is a buy phase before a round starts where you can purchase weapons and other gadgets.

What’s impressive about Rogue Company is that it flaunts some battle royale features. For instance, players drop inside the map from an airplane. Also, unlike in Valorant and CS:GO, players can revive their teammates when they are downed in this tactical shooter video game.

As of now, there is no official release date for Rogue Company. Nevertheless, if you want to try out Rogue Company in Closed Beta, then you’ll have to buy one of the Founder’ s Pack that starts from $14.99. However, Hi-Rez Studios confirmed that at launch, the game would be completely free to play.
