It’s been only a few days since the release of Call of Duty Mobile Season 8. However, the leaks for Season 9 of COD Mobile are already surfacing on the internet. Surprisingly, in one of those leaks, there is a mention of a new Battle Royale map in Call of Duty Mobile.
This rumored map is a prison island called ‘Alcatraz,’ which first appeared as a zombie map in Black Ops 2. Then, Call of Duty released a revamped version of the same map in Black Ops 4.
This leak for the new battle royale map came after the launch of Call of Duty Mobile Season 9 test server. The Alcatraz map isn’t available in the test server as of yet; however, data miners on Twitter managed to get this information out of the test server.
Initially, data miners speculated that ‘Alcatraz’ will be a small battle royale map to host 40-player matches in Call of Duty Mobile. However, recently, they found out that the new map will be only for Warfare Battle Royale mode. In this mode, two teams of 10 players will fight against each other with infinite respawns.
Although, it’s not entirely impossible for the new ‘Alcatraz’ map to host short battle royale matches, just like the new ‘Livik‘ map in PUBG Mobile.
The possibility of a new Battle Royale map in Call of Duty Mobile Season 9 is indeed exciting. However, it’s safe to take this information with a pinch of salt. We can only be sure about it when COD Mobile releases the new ‘Alcatraz’ map in the test servers.
