Recently, the developers of League of Legends: Wild Rift has announced ‘Regional Closed Beta’ for the game. The closed beta testing will be starting from September 16, 2020.
Only the selected players from regions like Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore will play the closed beta. Over time, the closed beta will be available in other areas as well.
The official dates along with the regions have been revealed by the developers where you can play the closed beta of League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Testing will begin in the Indonesia region on September 16 with a minimal number of invites. On September 18, the game will be available in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore. However, in early October, the game beta testing will pause for a few days, and all accounts will get fully reset.
Wild Rift: New Features In The Regional Closed Beta?
1. Ranking System
In the alpha test, the ranking system wasn’t a thing; however, developers have introduced a ranking system in the closed beta. It will allow the players to find other players in their ranked games who have the same rank/skill set.
The rank mode opens when your account hits level 10. Also, a new rank “Emerald” has been placed between Platinum and Diamond.
Now, winning a ranked game will grant you a “Rank Mark.” Lower tiers like Iron, Bronze, and Silver will need fewer rank marks to climb. Whereas, in higher levels, from Gold to Emerald, players will need more rank marks to climb the rank.
However, from Diamond, the ranking system will comprise of ‘League Points’ that will be added or deducted from your current rank depending on your win/loss, which is similar to League of Legends PC.
Also, there is a new “Fortitude System” that will prevent the players from losing a ‘rank mark’ when they lose a ranked game. Players can either play alone or in a team of 2, 3, and 5. However, depending on community feedback, the matchmaking system may see some changes in the future.
2. New Currency System: Poro Coins
Now, players can earn ‘Poro Coins’ while playing the game. They can purchase certain emotes and skins within the game with the poro coins they have earned.
3. Six New Champions To Play With
