PUBG Mobile Might Come Back To India With Jio Partnership

PUBG Corporation is currently in talks with telecom giant Reliance Jio to bring PUBG Mobile back to India. If all ends well, Jio will be looking after PUBG Mobile’s distribution in the country.

Apparently, the alleged rumors about a potential partnership between these two sides are turning out to be true.

As per the reports, PUBG Mobile developers are in talks with Reliance Jio to take on the responsibility of the distribution of their popular battle royale in the Indian region. PUBG Corp. is looking to partner with Jio to republish the game in the country for the long term.

According to the media reports, both sides are going over various aspects of the partnership. Legal experts are also trying to figure out how to split the revenue between the two sides. Most importantly, Reliance Jio has gathered a lot of investment for its Jio Platforms. If Jio is able to partner with PUBG Corp, it will be a big deal for them.

Summary: PUBG Mobile Ban So Far

The Indian government banned a total of 118 Chinese apps, including both PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite. After the ban, PUBG Corp. broke its licensing ties with Tencent.

As the Indian government now requires localization, PUBG Corp. is in search of an Indian partner to relaunch the game.
