Recently, Valaorant released the 1.02 update to introduce the much-awaited ‘Competitive Mode.’ The developers also released some other amazing features with the update, including an ‘Early Surrender‘ option. So, it’s finally possible for a team to surrender if they feel that the match is getting out of hand.
However, most Valorant players don’t know how to use the ‘Early Surrender’ feature. Don’t worry, it’s quite easy to surrender in Valorant, and we’re going to tell you how to do that.
Use ‘Early Surrender’ Option In Valorant
- To call an early surrender, type “/ff” “forfeit” “concede” or “surrender” in the chat.
- Now, all the members in the surrendering team have to cast a vote.
- Players who agree to surrender can vote “/Yes” and “/No” if they don’t want to give up.
- Please note that all the present members in the team will have to vote “/Yes” to pass the Surrender request.
Note: Players can only vote in the Buy Phase. That’s why, if you call in Valorant’s Surrender option mid-match, it will be queued to vote for the next round. However, if you call in the vote in the Buy Phase, then things could end even quickly.
Each team can only cast votes once per half. So, be sure to call in the surrender option if you know that every present team member wants to quit. Also, you can’t cast a vote for Early Surrender until you reach round 8.
Once the surrender is complete, the winning team will win game credits for the remaining rounds. On the other hand, the team that surrendered will lose credits for the same number of rounds.
Early Surrender is definitely a great feature. However, make sure you are only using this feature if the situation is completely out of hands. But if there’s any chance for you to turn the tables, then it’s best to fight and not give up.
