Prince of Persia was Ubisoft’s most popular franchise that was paused years ago. For a while, fans have been asking Ubisoft to restart the Prince of Persia franchise. Well, it seems that Ubisoft is finally listening to players’ requests.
Recently, two listings titled ‘Prince of Persia Remake’ appeared on the site of Central American retailer known by the name Max. The listings appeared for PS4 and Nintendo Switch with a release window for November 2020. However, unfortunately, the listings have now been removed.
The Twitter Ken Xyro spotted the listings and posted the screenshot on Twitter. According to him, the listings also included a link to pre-order pages that also got deleted later on.
The title of the listing, which is ‘Prince of Persia Remake,’ clearly means a reboot of one of the previous Prince of Persia Games.
It this rumor is true, then it’s hard to know which Prince of Persia game is being remastered. However, some fans are speculating that it’s the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, which came out in 2003. If that’s true, then it might be that Ubisoft will reboot the entire Prince of Persia trilogy.
On the other hand, some Prince of Persia fanatics are saying that the logo of the listing points towards the 2008’s Prince of Persia video game. Nevertheless, given that November isn’t that far away, we’ll get to know if the rumor is actually true or not pretty soon.
