This week for our “New on Netflix” series, we have many new TV series and movies. Adding more to the list of Anime on Netflix, we have A Whisker Away that brings an unusual twist in a love story, Wasp Network that shows the tormented life of a spy, and Mr. Iglesias that has returned for the second season to give us a laughter therapy.
If you are looking to watch something light-hearted, do try Floor Is Lava, which is a fun game show. There is also the second part of the documentary on the Coronavirus pandemic, which is an informative series.

1. A Whisker Away
Adding further to the list of anime on Netflix, A Whisker Away is another brilliant piece by Junichi Satoh and Tomotaka Shibayama. The story is about Miyo Sasaki, nicknamed “Muge,” meaning “infinitely mysterious,” who has a bright personality and is full of energy at school and at home.
Secretly in love with her classmate Kento Hinode, she tries to get Kento’s attention but fails at it. She finds a way to get closer to him by transforming herself into a cat. However, at one point, lines get blurry, and she is forced to give up her life as a human.

This new movie on Netflix is based on a true and gripping story of a Cuban spy who infiltrates exile groups in the 1990s to stop terrorism against the country but ends up paying a high personal cost.
