At last, Poco users finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Reportedly, Xiaomi has rolled out an MIUI 12 update for Pocophone F1 users globally.

(Recovery ROM)
This comes just a few days after Xiaomi began issuing the MIUI 12 update to Poco X2 users in India. Several Poco users have previously criticized Xiaomi for not releasing the latest MIUI 12 update at an early stage. In fact, we also observed that Poco has been ignoring their users’ voice, which is in contrast to their marketing claims.
Now that Xiaomi has finally begun MIUI 12 beta testing on Poco devices, we can let bygones be bygones and focus on the new features of MIUI 12.
It is important to note that the new MIUI 12 build is only available to users who took part in the MIUI 12 Pilot program in June. In other words, it’s a beta build, and it will take some time before the MIUI 12 Global Stable update arrives on all Poco F1 devices. Interestingly, other devices part of the beta program, such as the Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi Note 7 Pro have already begun testing MIUI 12.
Regular users can try installing the update with the help of a custom recovery. However, it would require unlocking the bootloader first and extensive knowledge of flashing custom ROMs and being aware of the dangers that come with it, not to mention.
Xiaomi has already rolled out an MIUI 12 update to several Poco F2 Pro devices. Meanwhile, there is no word from the company on an MIUI 12 update for Poco M2 Pro devices.
