At its Galaxy Unpacked August 2020 event, Samsung has finally announced the much anticipated and widely leaked Samsung Galaxy Note 20, Note 20 Ultra flagship smartphones, and Galaxy Z Fold 2. While Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra carry forward the legacy Note series of Samsung, Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the third foldable smartphone from the company.
Here are the details of the three smartphones launched by Samsung at the event:
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Specifications
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Infinity-O display with 2400 x 1080p resolution. It is powered by Snapdragon 865 Plus processor for the US market and will launch with the latest Exynos SoC in the Indian market. In the camera department, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 carries a 10MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.
On the rear, it has a triple camera setup with 64MP primary camera, 12MP Ultra-Wide, and 12MP Wide Angle lens. The smartphone offers Space Zoom feature with a 3x hybrid optical zoom and 30x super-resolution zoom. a 4,300mAH battery power the Galaxy Note 20 smartphone. The latest addition in the Note series is 5G compatible and also carries an S-Pen.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will be available in only in 8GB/128GB variant.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Specifications
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra shares several specs with its younger sibling including the same processor, same S Pen, 5G network, and front camera. In comparison to Note 20, Note 20 Ultra has a 6.9″ edge Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display with 3088×1440 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
The smartphone also has a triple camera setup with 108MP Wide-Angle sensor, 12MP telephoto lens and 12MP ultra-wide lens. The Space Zoom feature brings 5x optical zoom and up to 50x super hybrid zoom capabilities. It has a bigger battery as compared to Galaxy Note 20 with a 4,500mAh powering the device.
Samsung has launched Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in two variants – 12GB/128GB and 12GB/512GB.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Specifications
At the event, Samsung also unveiled its third foldable smartphone in the form of Galaxy Z Fold 2. The redesigned smartphone now has a 6.2-inch cover screen and a massive 7.2-inch main display. Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a new and improved camera system, a larger external display, and a punch-hole camera.
The redesigned Galaxy Z Fold 2 looks more elegant and polished than the previous variants of foldable smartphones from the company. Both the smartphones have bezel-free Infinity-O display. Samsung hasn’t divulged more information about its latest foldable smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 has been priced at $999 and Note 20 Ultra has been priced at $1299 for the 12GB/128GB variant. The company hasn’t announced the price of Galaxy Z Fold 2 yet.
