MIUI 12 Android 11 Update Arrives In India Starting With Redmi Note 9 Pro

After months of wait, it appears Xiaomi has finally picked up some pace in issuing the Android 11-based MIUI 12 updates.

Last week, Xiaomi released MIUI 12 Android 11 stable updates to its Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro devices in China. The company is now rolling out the stable beta version of the update for Redmi Note 9 Pro devices in India.

Interestingly, this will be the first Android 11-based MIUI 12 update to arrive in India. That being said, it’s still a “stable beta,” which means it will only be available to a selected number of users. Being the first MIUI 12 build based on Android 11, the update will certainly come with several bugs and issues.

However, once Xiaomi fixes all the reported bugs and issues, the same update will be issued to all Redmi Note 9 Pro users.

Global and other Redmi Note 9 Pro users can flash the latest MIUI 12 Android 11 update by unlocking the bootloader and using a custom recovery solution such as TWRP. However, the process is a little technical, and we wouldn’t recommend you to follow it on your primary device.

The new Android 11-based MIUI 12 update includes Android 11 features such as one-time permission, chat bubbles, device controls, and more.

In other news, Xiaomi has finally rolled out a MIUI 12 Stable beta update for Redmi Note 7/7S users in India.
