PS5 Might Release Post-Christmas In India, Claims YouTuber

Sony’s next-gen console, PlayStation 5, launched in North America, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand on November 12, 2020. For the rest of the world, except India, PS5 will be available on November 19, 2020. On the other hand, Sony confirmed that there’s still no official PS5 release date for India.

Indian PS5 fanatics expect the next-gen console to release somewhere near the global release date. However, a reputed Indian YouTuber claims that PS5 will launch in India after December 25, 2020.

Anmol Jaiswal, besides being a tech YouTuber, also owns the gaming store ‘GameSouk’ in Gurugram, India. According to the YouTuber, it’s “100% confirmed that PS5 wouldn’t be coming in India on November 19, 2020.”

Moreover, Jaiswal claims that he has directly conversed with Sony India’s officials regarding the PS5 release date in India. Sadly, according to the YouTuber, Sony confirmed that PS5 would launch post-Christmas in India.

What’s even worse is that there’s no confirmation about how much stock will be available in India post-launch. The demand for PS5 is incredibly high, so it’s expected that there will be a considerable shortage of PS5 stock for a couple of months.

It further means that even after the PS5 launch in late December, only the lucky ones will be able to get their hands on Sony’s PlayStation 5.

Nevertheless, these are just speculations, and we can’t be sure of anything until we hear anything official from Sony. So take this news with a pinch of salt. Right now, all we can do is desperately wait while the rest of the world enjoys playing popular titles on PS5.
