Nissan is all set foray into the subcompact SUV segment with Nissan Magnite. After teasing it for quite some time, the automaker has finally unveiled the production-ready model of this sub-compact SUV.
Similar to the concept model, Nissan Magnite looks bold and glamorous. Nissan Magnite will directly rival Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, and the likes.
It’s been a while since Nissan launched any new car in India. The Japanese automaker currently offers its sports car Nissan GTR and its crossover SUV Nissan Kicks in its portfolio. Therefore, the company has some expectations for its latest model Magnite.
Anyway, let’s move forward and look at how Nissan is planning to attract customers.

Exterior Design
The outer appearance of the car looks pretty much the same as we saw in its concept model. However, we believe the production-ready model looks even better. The biggest highlight is the big sporty grill with chrome finish bordering along the sides.
Nissan claims to provide the first in segment Bi-Projector LED headlamps. In addition, the L-shaped LED DRLs with fog lamps and a touch of plastic down the front bumpers give it a bold and unique look.
Furthermore, the dual-tone alloys, sharp taillights, roof rails, and rear spoiler all together enhance the sporty look of Nissan Magnite. However, it would be better if the automaker had provided a shark fin antenna which is common now.
Performance
The all-new Nissan Magnite will be powered by HRAO 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. Nissan says it will be combined with an advanced HRAO X-TRONIC CVT for a smooth driving experience.
Unfortunately, the automaker has not disclosed how much power this engine will produce, but we hope it will be somewhere around 110 BHP.
Maximum Safety
Nissan Magnite will be equipped with all the necessary safety features to ensure maximum safety. These safety features include standard dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control System, Hill Start Assist, and Vehicle Dynamic Control.
Interior: Seems Good Cabin Space
The interior of the car looks as premium as its exterior profile. The dark theme interior, along with the fancy-looking digital instrument cluster, makes it even better. On the center console, it features an 8″ touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Connectivity.
Right below the touchscreen are the conventional HVAC dial controls. If we slide through the driver’s side, you can see the audio and other feature controls mounted on the steering wheel. Ahead of the wheel is the 7″ TFT advance drive assist display, which looks cool.
Nissan claims they have provided a best in class 700 mm space between the front passenger seats. In total, Nissan Magnite has 336-liter cargo space with a 60:40 split seat ratio.
Nissan Magnite Price
Apart from this, the automaker is yet to announce the price for Nissan Magnite. However, we hope it would be somewhere between Rs 7 to 10 lakhs.
